Oakland Museum of California (OMCA)
With a combination of Arts, History and Natural Sciences, this is one amazing Museum. A major part of the Oakland community, this museum offers many educational and outreach programs as well as serves as an entertainment venue every Friday, hosting a party which includes drinks, food dancing and half off entrance fees!
The Oakland Museum of California was founded more than forty years ago and now boasts of more than 1.9 million objects including seminal art works, ethnographic objects, photographs, historical artifacts and natural specimens. The museum spans across 300,000 square-feet including new gathering spaces and program areas which encourage visitors to become actively engaged and share their personal perspectives, questions and stories.
