Universal Studios Hollywood
Both a film studio and a theme park, Universal Studios Hollywood is one of the oldest and most famous film studios still in use. Universal Studios Hollywood is split into two areas on different levels, the Upper lot and Lower lot. Each lot features a collection of rides, shows and attractions as well as food, beverage and merchandise shops.
The Upper Lot has many family based attractions including shows like Waterworld: A Live Sea War Spectacular and Shrek 4-D. It also has an area called Springfield dedicated to the television show The Simpsons and which included a motion simulator called The Simpsons Ride. Another popular spot is the Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem motion simulator ride which includes a large outdoor dry and wet play area for children.
A fairly new addition and the largest themed area in the Upper lot is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter which features family friendly roller coaster Flight of the Hippogriff. The themed area also includes many shops, The Three Broomsticks restaurant, and a number of outdoor vending carts which sell food and drink.
The Lower lot has three thrill rides, Jurassic Park: The Ride, Revenge of the Mummy and Transformers: The Ride. The Lower Lot also features several gift shops and quick service restaurants.
