Walt Disney Concert Hall
Located in Downtown Los Angeles, California, this 2,265 person seating concert hall has been in the works since 1987 with an initial investment of $50 million made by Lillian Disney. Since it’s opening on October 24, 2003, it has served as the home of the Los Angeles philharmonic orchestra and the Los Angeles Master Chorale.
The first ever movie premiere at the concert hall was in 2003, when The Matrix Revolutions held its world premiere. Since then, this venue has hosted many events, including a special week of American Idol, co-hosted by Ellen DeGeneres. The Walt Disney Concert Hall has also hosted headlining act performances such as Kelly Clarkson, Rascal Flatts, and Il Divo.
Rascal Flatts, Kelly Clarkson, and Il Divo performed here.
Not only is it an architectural masterpiece on the outside, but it offers acoustic magnificence as well. The Walt Disney Concert hall is also a location for chef Joachim Splichal’s landmark fine dining restaurant Patina, a spot that is known for serving delicious first rate French and California cuisine.
