L.A. Live

L.A. Live is the sports and entertainment district that surrounds STAPLES Center and Microsoft Theater. It has everything from sports and music venues to restaurants and night clubs, bot bowling alleys, museums and movie theaters. Here are just a sample of some of the major entertainment spots in the L.A. Live district.

The Microsoft Theater is a music and theatre venue seating 7,100, and The Novo is an intimate venue which can seat up to 2,300 people for live music and cultural events. Some of the first concerts to have taken place there have been by acts like The Eagles and The Dixie Chicks, while other national events were held including the American Music Awards, the finale of American Idol and the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.

The Grammy Museum opened on December 2008 for the Grammy Awards 50th anniversary. Similar to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, bronze disks honoring each year’s top Grammy winners are embedded on the sidewalks at the LA Live Streets.

L.A. Live offers a great number of places to eat when you are hungry, with dining ranging between the mid to high scale including Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, Rosa Mexicana, Katsuya, Rock'N Fish, Lawry's, The Farm of Beverly Hills, and Yard House.
