Things To Do
A more laid-back and less crowded destination than nearby Davos, Klosters has all the sports and outdoors venues for visitors to enjoy its breathtaking natural beauty. Some of Europe’s best and longest ski slopes are located in this quintessential Swiss town. Winter activities include snowshoeing, ice skating, and rides on horse-drawn sleighs. In the summer, hundreds of kilometers of picturesque hiking trails through thick forests and alpine meadows await you on both sides of the valley.
Visit the 15th-century church of Saint Jacob and the Nutli-Hüschi Folk Museum, a 16th-century wooden house, to learn about the history of the area.
Take a two-minute walk to the Klosters-Madrisa Gondola cable car and climb up to Madrisa Peak on Sonnenberg Mountain, peaking over the lush Swiss forest as you go. In the winter you can ski down the legendary slopes, and in the spring and summer you enjoy the spectacular views, the green and the air of the Swiss Alps. Visit Madrisa Land with the kids, and enjoy refreshments and snacks at Madrisa-Alp eatery next to the cable car station at the peak.
When you're ready to venture a little further out, Lake Davos and the eateries and activities of the renowned Swiss town are just a 15-minute drive from Madrisa Lodge.
If you're wild about the great outdoors and all the things the Alps have to offer in any season of the year, Klosters is as good as it gets.
