About the Apartel
The Ginosi Oxford Apartel is less than a block from Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market. The market has something for everyone, be they a foodie, art lover, or coffee drinker. If you want to experience the heart of Seattle like a local, this is the place to start.
Things To Do
Obviously, with Pike Place Market so closeby, a stroll to the market is first on the list for most of our guests. The market is packed with produce, fresh fish, restaurants, and unique souvenirs. One of the more entertaining features of the market is the flying salmon in the fish market. Every purchase, or bright enough smile at the cashier, sends a fish flying around the stall as it is packaged for the customers.
Other must stops in the neighborhood are the world’s first Starbuck’s Coffee in the heart of the market. For those seeking a drink with a bit more bite and great food to go with it, the Pike Brewing Company offers some of the NorthWest’s best microbrews and unique entrees.
Once you’ve had your fill at the market, all the best sites in Seattle’s downtown are also nearby. A stroll through historic Belltown will take you to the site of the Seattle World’s Fair, home of the Space Needle, EMP Museum, and the Chihuly Glass Garden. Also nearby is the Seattle Aquarium and the Seattle Science Center, both great destinations for family fun.
