Tbilisi Subway
Tbilisi Metro System, which has been operating for more than 50 years, is the fastest and the most comfortable means of transport to get around the city in Tbilisi. Tbilisi Metro is designed in Soviet architectural style. The stations are all vividly decorated and rather deep.
Metro Fares and Operating Hours
Trains are operating every day from 6am till midnight with intervals from 2.5-12 minutes. They are running between 60 km/h - 90 km/h. Tbilisi metro system has 22 stations. Almost all of the stations are underground. About 300.000 passengers are served by Tbilisi metro system each day.
The fare for the metro is 0.50 Gel for one entry. Alternatively, you can buy a plastic card the price of which depends on the number of entries. Tickets are not required for children under 6.

Avlabari - Avlabari Station has been reconstructed in 2006. The Armenian Pantheon of Tbilisi, the Sameba Cathedral, the Church of Red Gospel and many other points of interest are located in Avlabari District.
Rustaveli - Not far from Rustaveli Metro Station there is the Opera Theatre, Rustaveli Theater and the Georgian Parliament.
Marjanishvili - Marjanishvili is one of the oldest and interesting districts of Tbilisi. There are many long streets and the houses are completely in old Georgian Style.
