Mtatsminda Park is located 800-metres above the city of Tbilisi. It has been a popular place of interest for a very long time and in 2007 it has moved up a gear with the opening of East Europe’s newest theme park. Various names were offered for the new park, such as Fun Land or Fantasy Land, but after a long consideration, it was decided to leave the name as it was and a new logo was created.
During the the Soviet Union days, Mtatsminda Park was once considered as the third most-visited public park in the USSR. It included a similar mix of open spaces, recreational pursuits and a couple of of Soviet amusement rides.
