Throughthe years the gallery has become a real centre for developing an aesthetic sense in the rising generation. The spacious building consists of exhibition halls, workshops, a concert ball and a library.
The Exhibitions
There have been exhibited works by children from the Soviet republics, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Yugoslavia, Britain, France, the USA, Canada, India and Japan. Every year there are several one-man exhibitions of children's woks aged from 3 to 16. All the works displayed remain the property of the gallery, which now has a collection of over 100,000 pictures. The modern artist David Siqueiros described the gallery as "a true festival for the children of the planet".
