Cafesjian Art Museum

A unique place to visit while in Yerevan. Located in downtown Yerevan, the museum exhibits rare samples of glass art as well as drawings, paintings and sculptures.


Cafesjian Museum of Art was founded by benefactor Gerard L. Cafesjian. It is dedicated to bringing the best of contemporary art to Armenia and presenting the best of Armenian culture to the world. The majority of exhibitions are derived from Mr. Cafesjian's own extensive collection of contemporary art.

In addition to the exhibition program, the museum is also a spot for various programs of visiting lecturers, classic films, concerts and numerous educational programs for adults and children.


Cafesjian Museum of Art is located in downtown Yerevan at a place that is known to people as "the Cascade”. 

Cafesjian Museum of Art has a collection of more than 5,000 works. The extensive glass collection is particularly notable. It is especially rich in works of Czech couple Stanislav Libensky and Jaroslava Brychtova who revolutionized the use of glass as an artistic medium. The museum collection also includes other important  artists of glass art as Dale Chihuly, Bohumil Elias, Pavel Hlava, Jaromir Rybak, Ivana Sramkova, Bertil Vallien, Lino Tagliapietra, Mark Peiser and Hiroshi Yamano. The museum also has substantial holdings in drawing, painting and sculpture. Among prominent artists are Fernando Botero. Arshile Gorky, Jennifer Bartlett and Andy Warhol.
