Unmanned Aircraft Competition in Armenia

The Union of Information Technology Enterprises announces a competition of "unmanned aircraft" in the framework of Armenian open tournament of robots (ArmRobotics). The participants must design and create devices that will be able to explore the area during the flight, to understand signs of positioning, to send online images, to find special target, to throw a load of 300 grams at the target and to return to the starting point.

The robot can have any structure: VTOL (vertical take-off and landing), CTOL (conventional take-off and landing), STVOL (short vertical take-off and landing). The take-off and landing of the robot can be controlled automatically as well as remote control.

Applicants can register in the website and must present the robot’s thorough design and plan ten days after the registration. The Union will provide the necessary items for creating a robot to those teams, who present the best concept of a robot. The competition is also open for those teams who haven't registered in advance but have ready robots that correspond to the competition rules.

The registration for the "unmanned aircraft" competition will last from 13 January 2012 till 12 March 2012.
