Armenian Genocide Commemoration April 24
Each spring, on the 24th of April, numerous Armenians from Armenia and all corners of the world, come to Armenia and organize a united march to the Tsitsernakaberd Genocide Memorial. In this way they commemorate the victims of the Armenian Genocide by the Ottoman Empire, which resulted in one and a half million deaths.
This year, on the 23th of April, we will again commemorate the Armenian Genocide Day. On this day thousands of people will walk from Matendaran with torches in their hands to Tsitsernakaberd Genocide Memorial. Next day, early in the morning, the president of the Republic of Armenia and many other politicians will come to Tsitsernakaberd to show their tribute to the victims of the Genocide. Millions of Armenians will come to Tsitsernakaberd to lay flowers at the eternal flame.
