Surrounding Area

  • Baghramyan is one of the busiest and liveliest avenues in Yerevan. It is a nice and comfortable area for walking. There are beautiful sidewalks along this street, which are not too narrow and are rather safe. The traffic in Baghramyan Avenue is a bit heavy in the mornings and evenings. Still, cars do not go fast, because the Yerevan police always watch over this area.

There are many stores and groceries on Baghramyan Street. It is one of the major entertainment and shopping areas of Yerevan:

    • Siraharneri aygi (Lovers’ Park) is about 3 bus stops away from the apartment. The park is above Marshal Baghramyan Metro Station. There are 4 waterfalls, 370 trees, 26 stone compositions, 5 shaded pavilions, a small pool for kids and a public toilet. The needs of physically challenged people have been taken into consideration when designing the park.
    • House Museum of Aram Khachaturyan (an outstanding Armenian music composer, conductor, founder of Armenian national symphonic music and one of the fathers of Armenian classical music) is minutes away from the apartment. There are more than 18.000 items collected from 55 countries. For me it was very interesting to explore the personal belongings of the composer when I first visited the museum.
    • Papaya, one of the best bakeries of the city, is also nearby. I like both the cookies and cakes made at Papaya very much.
    • Evrika grocery is within a 5-minute walk of the apartment.

The central location of the apartment enables the visitors to easily get around in Yerevan. The main means of transportation are the buses and minibuses. They go to all directions of the city. The bus stop is quite nearby. Some 3 bus stops away there is Marshal Baghramyan Metro Station. It is in a park next to the Parliament House and across from the AUA. Compared to other stations, it is less crowded.
