Zvartnots Airport is located in Zvartnots, a town in the Armavir province. It is about 12 km (7.5 miles) away from Armenia’s capital city, Yerevan.

Getting your visa at Zvartnots Airport
Zvartnots Airport grants visas for visiting the city. You can pay for visa only in Armenian drams. The price for single entry visa for stay for up to 120 days is AMD 15000 (~$41) and for stays for up to 21 days about AMD 3000 (~ $ 10). There is an application form you should fill in to get the visa. You can fill in that form right on spot. If you decide to prolong your visa, you should go to Passport and Visa Departmnet located at Mashtots Avenue 13 A.
The modernization of the airport
The flight information display system (FIDS) has been employed as well as a biometric-identification system for both baggage check-in and passenger control.
The construction of a new international terminal started in 2004, which covers 19.200m2 and can handle 2 million passengers yearly. In June, 2007 the new international terminal with departures section was opened.
New parking has been built in order to adapt to the upcoming increase in visitors. It has a capacity for 1,000 vehicles. Many international airlines now operate from Zvartnots, connecting Yerevan to the world's most cities.
Visitors' comfort within the terminal has been improved. The arrival hall capacity has been enlarged with a volume of over 1,000 passengers per hour, as well as the passenger management is streamlined due to a substantial expansion of the customs. The waiting areas in the airport and customer service areas have been throughly renovated. There is an availability of free Wi-Fi connection and duty-free shops and restaurants.
Getting to Yerevan from Zvarnots Airport
Bus #201 connects the airport with the crossroads of the Sayat Nova and Mashtots streets (in Yerevan). Bus #108 connects the airport with the center of Yerevan as well.
